Privacy Policy — ThespiSound

Last updated: September 2026

ThespiSound (« the app ») is a live sound cue tool for theatre and stage productions. This policy explains, in plain terms, what happens to your data when you use it.

Data collection

ThespiSound does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The app does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or any third-party tracking.

Where your data lives

All content you create in ThespiSound — shows, cues, and imported audio files — is stored locally on your own device (using your browser’s or device’s local storage). Nothing is uploaded to any server operated by us or anyone else.

Permissions

The Android app may request the following device permissions, used strictly as follows:

  • Storage / files access — to import audio files you choose, and to export/share your show files (.thespis) at your request.
  • Keep screen awake / background audio playback — to allow uninterrupted sound cue playback during a live performance, even if the screen turns off or you switch apps.

None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit data — they support the app’s core offline functionality only.

Third parties

ThespiSound does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-processing service.

Children’s privacy

ThespiSound is a professional tool and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, regardless of age, since it collects no data at all.
